Creation Cancels Weekend Of Horrors 2012:Is West Coast Convention Horror Dead ?

It was announced early on Wednesday that Creation Enterainment cancelled their planned Weekend Of Horror 2012,for a major name genre film convention curcuit this is surprising news for many fans on the West Coast who were planning on attending their now-cancelled February event.

My main question here is that while their numerous STAR TREK,TWILIGHT,SUPERNATURAL,and VAMPIRE DIARIES are successfully moving on(and growing bigger),both Creation and Fangoria don’t have their shit fully together when it comes to doing horror conventions, with Creation bombing with both Days Of Darkness and their non-Fango Weekend Of Horrors and Fango with their two non-Creation events(and very short-lived partnerships)with Chiller Theatre and Las Vegas’ The Palms, for is current Fango publisher Tony DeFio really that much of a major prick to work with when it comes to organizing conventions(since he rumoredly canned plans for Fango’s reunion with Creation a year-and-a-half ago) ?  For why is it so hard for Fangoria to return to their former convention glory while East Coast events such as Cinema Wasteland,Flashback Weekend,Horrorfind, and HorrorHound have no problems with running their events(which grow more successfuyl every year) ?

I won’t dwell much on it(since I’m in the middle of my personal 31 Days Of Halloween viewing month[which I’m not playing by the rules{since I never follow any}]),for all I can say is that since there’ll be no Weekend Of Horrors event in 2012(or perhaps never) maybe the likes of Cinem Wasteland,HorrorHound,or Flashback Weekend can come down to do a West Coast event to show both Creation and Fango how it’s probably done(with no high priced Gold Pass tickets or mega-costly celebrity Photo Ops)while helping keep the West Coast horror genre convention scene alive(and not on life support).

Oh,Wow. PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 3 Premieres This Friday In Theaters:Yaaaaaawwwwwwwwnnnnnnn  !!!!

I'm just a simple genre cinema fan(NOT a fanboy and NOT a geek)who widely glimpses onto the latest in cinema news, cinema events, and world news of the day events, and just to warn you(especially if you're one of those politically correct elitists,or strongly despise folks that never brownnose the genre cinema media press):I do sharply bite.
