2013: The Year Horror Cinema Tops The Box Office Again-And-Again

As 2013 is slowly unfolding before us,many are still attempting to grasp upon what’s already one of the top main stories/new items, whether it’s Presdient Obama’s controversial gum control laws or the numerous celebrity passings that have happened, but as far as it goes for me I have to say that it’s horror cinema’s repeated multi million dollar triumphs at the top of the box office charts.

For the last six-and-a-half weeks, the likes of TEXAS CHAINSAW 3-D,MAMA,and HANSEL AND GRETEL:WITCH HUNTERS have topped the weekend box office(hitting Number One with multi million financial grosses),for now another horror film joins that top spot as the zombie romance film WARM BODIES hit Number One with a $20 million dollar financial gross. I’m sure that many people are wondering why horror cinema is so popular right now and I’m sure that many “psychiatric” types are saying that it’s possibly because of the recent gun-related tragedies in the last several months that we’re drawn to horror cinema to deal with coping with reality’s real life horror, for maybe that’s a partial reason for otherwise with myself it’s just that poeple love horror films and enjoy the hell out of having fun watching them(as well as daring themselves to be scared).

Say what you want about the quality of those current popular film, but I’m surely enjoying the hell out of seeing horror cinema topping the Number One spots at the weekend box offices on a repeated basis.

I’m Not The Biggest Ron Jeremy Fan,But I’m Wishing Him A Full Speedy Recovery From His Recent Heart Tragedy(Since I Don’t Want To See Another Celebrity Passing Away On Us)

About stevenmillan

I'm just a simple genre cinema fan(NOT a fanboy and NOT a geek)who widely glimpses onto the latest in cinema news, cinema events, and world news of the day events, and just to warn you(especially if you're one of those politically correct elitists,or strongly despise folks that never brownnose the genre cinema media press):I do sharply bite.
