March Mania 2013

It’s been starting to get far too long since I last posted a blog entry, for before my on-line rivals and nemesises start to declare me dead I’ve better get this latest blog entry quickly going…

As spring is quickly approaching and the gas prices are rising for the season($4.00 and up…),there’s been word of Dolph Lundgren planning on doing a project with Tony Jaa(would be uber cool and amazing if that happens),Kane Kosugi casted as Scott Adkin’s main foe in(the just completed) NINJA 2,Bruce Willis(the only successful modern action cinema star[of the current being]) being considered as the lead in that long rumored DEATH WISH remake/redux,and now rumors of Sam Raimi slowly preparing to make EVIL DEAD 4,something which I’ll only take with a grain of salt until both Raimi and Bruce Campbell officially confirm that it’ll happen(we’ve got to wait to see how the supremely gory EVIL DEAD “remake” does at the box office first).

There’s also been the recent passings of filmmaker Del Tenney(THE HORROR OF PARTY BEACH,VIOLENT BLOODBATH{a.k.a.: PSYCHOMANIA]),CURSE OF THE LIVING CORPSE[featuring the debut of Roy Scheider],and the recent Katherine Heigl Straight-To-DVD horror film DESCENDANT),actor Dale Robertson, mucho controversial Vendezula leader Hugo Chavez, and now legendary wrestling manager William Moody, better known as both Paul Bearer and Percy Pringle, for Del,Dale, and William/Paul/Percy all be heavily missed.

And JACK THE GIANT SLAYER may have knocked INDENTITY THIEF off the top of this past weekend’s box office but only grossed $28 million, which is like a billion to us regular folks but to the folks in Hollywood it’s highly considered a major flip since JACK… costed $200 million to make, and it’ll be interesting to see how Sam Raimi’s new OZ prequel(which is rumored to have been made for $300 million) does.

And to close this out,I did see A GOOD DAY TO DIE HARD,for it’s just as cartoonish(if not more)as LIVE FREE OR DIE HARD and it would be fitting if this does turn out to be the final film in the series(considering the film’s final scene, and how grizzled and rapidly aged Bruce Willis looks in this film).

Still Badly Reeling From The Extremely Awful Recent Oscars/Academy Awards Show,For Everything About It Was Sheer Awful And Made Alan Carr’s Controversial 1989 Oscars(With Rob Lowe’s Singing Debut/Musical Number)Look Like Classic Vintage TV,For The Less About Seth MacFarlane’s Hosting Duties The Better

About stevenmillan

I'm just a simple genre cinema fan(NOT a fanboy and NOT a geek)who widely glimpses onto the latest in cinema news, cinema events, and world news of the day events, and just to warn you(especially if you're one of those politically correct elitists,or strongly despise folks that never brownnose the genre cinema media press):I do sharply bite.
