Jackie Chan’s ‘Skiptrace’,And Many Other Topics…

Jackie Chan lines up new English-language action comedy ‘Skiptrace’.

First off, here’s the link to an article about Jackie Chan’s latest planned film project that he’ll do alongside his planned appearance in EXPENDABLES 3 : so much for his retirement from action cinema…

Otherwise,I’ve been out-of-action due to suffering fromt the flu(which caught up with me after having luckily avoided it for this past Winter/Spring),for I’ve otherwise have got some subjects to talk about…

* VHS Video Cassette Collecting: it’s been one of many cool hobbies that I’ve had since the late 80s/early 90s,and now it’s all of a sudden become such a trendy maninstream thing to do,with many assorted hipsters jumping aboard the bandwagon to cash in on genre love for this lost-but-important treasure to both cinema and movie-related home entertainment, with severeal movie companies suddenly leaping in to release some of their films into retro VHS video cassettes(such as the well-known case of Charles Band using his “retro” Wizard Video VHS video releases as his own personal Kickstarter/Indie-A-Go-Go to get financing for both his next PUPPETMASTER film and GINGERDEAD MAN VS. EVIL BONG: Hey,he’s got to get financing some somewhere),,which is sadly making this hobby become too mainstream and trendy for the serious collector to deal with, for no hipster nor film company tactics can ever stop me from losing my love of collecting VHS video cassette movies.

* Linkin Park Temple Pilots: with a sadly post-heroin Scott Weiland now entering into david Lee Roth solo act territory(courtesy of his out-of-tune fading vocals and his new(just-as-out-of-tune bnd) The Wildabouts, the remaining three members of Stone Temple Pilots have recruited (still current) Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington as their new singer(?!?!),which is a complete sham to STP’s longtime fans, since Chester is still attached to his successful group and whose nasally whimpering voice is a very bad fit for STP’s thundering music, for it’s such a sad way to see both Weiland and his former successful band sliding downward.

* NATO and movie theaters are now reportedly asking movie studios to keep their film trailer short at 2 1/2 minutes instead of the routine 3 1/2 minute length, for this sounds to me like a way for those theaters to both lengthen both their coporate sponsors’ endless commercials and the waiitng time for a movie to start, bringing even more discomfort to the movie going experience(since it’s sad enough to deal with noisy fellow moviegoers, overzealous ushers, and those annoying texting folks that are seated next to you).

That’s it for now,for time to go back to laying down and resting…

I'm just a simple genre cinema fan(NOT a fanboy and NOT a geek)who widely glimpses onto the latest in cinema news, cinema events, and world news of the day events, and just to warn you(especially if you're one of those politically correct elitists,or strongly despise folks that never brownnose the genre cinema media press):I do sharply bite.
