It’s February Now

This year is starting to already go very fast, for it’s now February and both Valentine’s Day and President’s Day are upon us(within the next two to three weeks) and as we already know January wasn’t a very good month as we lost close to 20 beloved celebrities(of the film and music world),the tragic Arizona shootings(that left six people dead, and a Congresswoman wounded),Charlie Sheen went on yet another sex-and-drug-fueled rampage(that landed him in both the hospital and rehab),and the country of Eygpt has fallen apart to a public revolution that is currently taking place(and has resulted in the removal of Eygptian Cabinet members). Things came on a much better note when the Academy Awards were also announced without too many surprises and 10 films were yet again nominated for Best Picture, with the ever-so-fickle film critics now switching their praise and Oscar predictions of THE KING’S SPEECH over their former favorite THE SOCIAL NETWORK.

On a last note, the likes of LET ME IN,CHAIN LETTER,HATCHET 2,MY SOUL TO TAKE,the I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE remake,GAME OF DEATH(Wesley Snipes’ last Straight-To DVD actioneer[before his current tax evasion prison stint]),Jose Mojica Marins’ comeback film EMBODIMENT OF EVIL(Coffin Joe’s first horror rampage in 40+ years),and VIRUS X(Sybil Danning’s first film since[Rob Zombie’s] HALLOWEEN)are arriving onto DVD tro satisfy our urges for horror and action cinema cravings(that we either missed in the theaters or awaiting for their exclusive-to-DVD debuts),where I’ll peacefully end this blog episode(until I have a new issue to openly vent on).

About stevenmillan

I'm just a simple genre cinema fan(NOT a fanboy and NOT a geek)who widely glimpses onto the latest in cinema news, cinema events, and world news of the day events, and just to warn you(especially if you're one of those politically correct elitists,or strongly despise folks that never brownnose the genre cinema media press):I do sharply bite.
